Orchard Lakes League Round 7

Sunday was the 7th round of the league at Orchard Lakes, and my draw has put me on peg 22, which is on the straight, so not too disappointed with this as you can normally get a few bites here. » » Read More…

Today’s been my first Maver Match This Qualifier of 2019. Venue for the day has been Barston Lakes and with 97 booked on it was going to be a hard day for most. » » Read More…

Lee talks through an eventful June

First up was the first evening match of the year at Woodhouse Grange near Doncaster.  Fished on the Kingfisher Lake, I pulled peg two at the draw, and not knowing much about the Lake or Venue, I decided to approach the peg with an open mind and see what I could sort out. » » Read More…

Guru Festival – Phil Canning

Day 1: Porth Peg 36: The first day of the rotation had seen me on porth 36, in the middle of the section and I was a little unsure how it would fish with the week before having weights up to 50lb and I was thinking it was going to be a big weight or a very little weight and turn out to be a struggle all over the lake. » » Read More…

Guru Festival – Whinny

Day 1: Porth peg 23: My favourite Day of the week but with lots of bream showing the week before it wasn’t going to be an out and out Roach match, which is what I’d rather do, so I had to cover my options by feeding along Pole line and long feeder line for bream/skimmers. » » Read More…

Guru Festival – Fran Oreilly

Day 1: Treewaters Peg 35: I fancied this peg for a few fish due to the room you have around you. I have kept it nice and simple today and set up a 5m line and 13m line with 6mm pellets and feeding the same. I also had a margin line, top 4 to my right and 13m left and right. » » Read More…

Alders Farm spring league Round 5

My team draws so far in this league have not been the best so we let Steve Waters have a go this round. Luckily for me, I got a good section peg (28 ash), Steve 4 ash, ok but should get beat by 1,2, and 30. Deany 22 pines, ok and Roger 2 pines err crap. » » Read More…

Spring League Alders Farm Round 4

The last two weekends have been spent at Alders farm on the spring league Round 4. I drew again for the team and again not a particularly good one. Nick Dean and Steve Waters went up on Pines lake, Roger Young and I down on the match lake. I probably had the best peg of the 4 which was peg 6 on ash lake, a good peg but should get smashed by 3 out and out flyers. » » Read More…
