A tremendous through 'anti lock' action coupled with a truly great tip recovery speed makes this rod although a short one of the big hitters in the precision range. In test we found the 11"6 rod to be the perfect length for short rod waggler fishing. At this length all aspects of distance can be covered without having to try and over-cast and therefore lose accuracy and presentation. At the same time its shorter length means short chucks are more precise and fish playing is done at close quarters near the waiting landing net. A short handle means manoeuvrability is excellent and the anti lock through action means fish playing is a joy. With fish to over 20lb in testing, the rod's soft tip and smooth action lends itself to all sizes of fish that you're likely to encounter.
