Maver match this decoy lakes

Being a local to decoy lakes I was asked by a lot of anglers which lake was going to win it and which pegs etc, and I could honestly say the winner could come off any lake on the day, although obviously there were certain pegs that you wanted on every lake. Andy on the bank and a fisho qualifier

So. it’s been a while since my last instalment. Apart from having my sodding phone taped to my head with work and non-existent plumbers leaving my little project grinding to a halt, I have actually managed a couple of days fishing.

Wish I did the way I felt but, arriving at Larford Lakes and having a hearty breakfast soon felt a lot better. » » Read More…

Round 6, Final round, Whitesprings Winter League – Sunday 23rd March 2014

Going into the final round of this fiercely contested winter league, I was lucky enough (thanks to a couple of good draws) to be leading the league with 61 points.

The league system

For those that have never fished the league before, it consists of six matches of which you keep your five best results. 3 matches are fished on the Match Lake and 3 are on the New Canal. There is a re-draw after every 2 rounds to determine what lake you’re on. » » Read More…
